ABOUT ME!
Emre is a Turkish actor, writer and director from Ankara, now based between Glasgow and London. He holds a BA in Acting from Bilkent University, where he graduated with first-class honours, and an MA in Classical and Contemporary Text (Acting) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
His acting credits include work with Shakespeare’s Globe and the Scottish Storytelling Centre, as well as a feature film available on Amazon Prime. He also has extensive experience in motion capture and voice acting. Emre plays the alto saxophone, is a confident dancer and, having previously played tennis, now works as a coach.
Alongside acting, Emre writes, translates and directs for the stage. His debut play, (Please Do) Look Back in Anger, was longlisted for the Woven Voices Playwriting Prize 2025. He is currently mentored by Playwrights’ Studio Scotland and is a member of the Royal Court Writers’ Group.
In 2025, he translated My Mother’s Funeral: The Show into Turkish and directed the production at DasDas in Istanbul.
On 15 November 2026, Emre will perform his one-man show, My Ex-Lover Turkey, at The Space Theatre in London.
